Think YOU had a bad day?

Birdshit besmirched car.

There is a superstition that having a bird poop on you brings you good luck. All I can say is, whoever drives this car ought to be really, really safe from accidents.

I could hear the large flock of birds in the bare tree above cackling fiendishly as I took this photograph.... Quickly.

You Will Laugh

Why are patience and civility a good thing (beyond their inherent virtue)? This video makes it clear.

HEART ATTACK!!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.

I am a puddle of disbelief.
Holy Crap.
I am having a cow.
A cow is emerging FROM MY BODY.

Mooooooooooooooooooo.

MacBook PRO. Intel Duo-Core... 4-5x faster than previous Powerbook. Built in iSight!

Now... how much for this little 5.6 lb. bundle of sweetness?
$2499.

APPL now at $81. OMG.

HOLY MAZOLY!!

OK, y'all know I'm pretty much a rabid Apple fangirl. I'm not proud of it, but there it is.

Nonetheless, I hereby pronounce myself stunned that Apple has just come out with an Intel-based iMac: same form factor, same price, 2 or 3 times the performance of the G5 model (which I bought in August). Crikey! Everybody thought for sure that, if anything, this transition would start with the Mac Mini and iBooks.

I'm still following the Keynote, so who knows what will be next.

APPL has broken $80.

Heh.

For the Record

After viewing the unspeakably depressing Brokeback Mountain* this evening, Deb delivered herself of this defense of Ennis DelMar, the fine-looking but utterly monosyllabic character played by Heath Ledger, and all men like him:

"Just because he can't talk, doesn't mean he's not interesting."

I look forward to working this quotation into a toast some day.

*The movie is sufficiently tragic as to cause one to wish to find an appropriate length of rope, but go see it anyway. I thought Jake Gyllenhaal did wonderfully with what was in fact the more difficult role. Which pretty much guarantees that Ledger will win the Academy Award.

GRRrrrrrrrr!!

Some inconsiderate asshole has parked in my rented parking spot. This is far from the first time that this has happened, and my patience has evaporated. I had to range far and wide to find street parking.

Ticket and tow the jerk. I am NOT feeling charitable tonight; the milk of human kindness has run dry.

Happy New Year, my lovelies!

(You know, on some level, it just has to be better than 2005.)
