It's so easy to go through life without appreciation, despite the whole vibrating, pulsing, glowing gloriousness of the world around us. I am embarking on a daily practice of noticing and sharing beauty: one small effort to counteract the laziness of obliviousness, dismissal, and cynicism that can gradually sour our outlook on just about everything.

I just love these 'inside the produce' photos. This one is great, along with your interpretation. A friend has a series, done I don't know how, of various produce items, cut in half. What makes it neat is that the insides don't match the outsides. A split orange may have a split apple fitted inside the rind, etc. Also, I have 3 wall hangings made by my uncle consisting of actual, thin slices of walnut and butternut shells, sanded smooth and glued to a backing. Intricate design from mother nature.
