It's so easy to go through life without appreciation, despite the whole vibrating, pulsing, glowing gloriousness of the world around us. I am embarking on a daily practice of noticing and sharing beauty: one small effort to counteract the laziness of obliviousness, dismissal, and cynicism that can gradually sour our outlook on just about everything.

Well, it *looks* really pretty from here...
When my power went out this winter, I was surprised that the water didn't work. And I hadn't set aside buckets of water for bathroom purposes or jugs of water for drinking purposes. Such a city girl!
Hope your power stays on and that the storm heads out of town soon!
You have screwed up my blog. We had a few more inches of snow here, and I was going to post some photos to impress my friends who live in warmer climes. Now, it would be hard to impress them.
