Not Too Cool to Boogie

Elliott Yamin at 9:30 Club

A poker buddy of mine, PK, is pals with Elliott Yamin of American Idol runner-up fame. He hooked me up with freebie tickets for Elliott's show at the 9:30 Club, so of course I invited fanboy David to join me.

It was a fun concert. I particularly enjoyed the encore performance, shown in the photo above, which featured just Elliott's splendid voice and keyboard.

Rainy Heart (for New Orleans)

I've finally quit working on this. I wouldn't say it is finished ~ it's not good enough be called "finished." But I'm done messing with it.

Have a listen (5.14MB mp3) and be kind. My voice is appalling and it's a weirdly eclectic little piece. What genre do you call that?! For what it's worth, I had fun doing it; it's a great way to cause VAST amounts of time to simply evaporate.

Stringsong

I now inflict on those of you who choose to hear it, my kinda movie-soundtrack mood music created in GarageBand. It's in AAC format [3:12 second, 2.7 MB file], playable via QuickTime or iTunes.
